Northants Veggies Win Hero Prize For National Vegetarian Week Efforts

Joint Winners: Northants Veggies and SAVeggies (Vegetarian Society local groups)
Our Vegetarian Society local groups did a great job of highlighting the Week in their local communities and Northants Veggies and SAVeggies were brilliant examples of this. Between them they set up information stalls in town centres, universities, colleges, libraries and local businesses to show how delicious and beneficial a veggie diet is.

Giving up meat altogether is the only way to avoid the health risks associated with eating animals. Bowel cancer is just the latest threat, with high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes also commonly linked.
